Singing head? …despise her already? over trained? Here’s a response from someone who at least knows one of the girls. I’ve had the privilege of watching Maddy Curtis work her way through middle, high school and community plays since my son, who’s also a junior in her class, has been in most of the same productions. She really has not recieved much in the way of formal training, since her family is of modest means. Pretty harsh sentiments for a great kid from a small town in VA, who just likes singin, and who’s got the personality and the pipes to get here wherever she wants to go. That’s what I told her after the last play she did, Oliver, in December. You tube is one thing; witnessing her wild-eyed talent on-stage is another matter entirely. make no mistake: This child will be a star. Whether it’s on the pop charts or on th stage is entirely up to her.
